People always complain about how everything is so stale and unoriginal and how nothing new or creative is being made nowadays. The only problem is, what incentive do companies even have to make anything new or original when the only things people ever buy/ask for is shit like a new Smash Bros game or Pokemon, a new iPhone or a reboot of a popular show/movie from the 90s/80s? No company is gonna waste their time and money on something that won’t sell and when the trends are so transparent and formulaic you can only be so surpised when everything being pumped out is more of the same.
